ALFI is an organization of young people and citizens created in February 2017 and officially recognized in March 2018 by Babacar J. Diop with the objective of transforming youth engagement by putting young people at the heart of social, economic, political, and cultural activities. In 2020, it has more than 5,000 members in Senegal and abroad.
The organization’s HQ teams work daily to create new tools to facilitate, enable and encourage citizen engagement in the management of their community.
ALFI defends progressive convictions. It carries the vision of a daring youth who is committed to ecological and digital transitions and encourages individual success while preserving the essential values of fraternity and solidarity; a youth that guarantees the security and freedom of everyone, essential to any projection into the future. The movement defends the value of work as a factor of emancipation and the foundation of the African Union project.
